Junior Accountant

About the job
We are looking for motivated Junior Accountants to join forces.
You will be responsible for supporting the accounting team in completing daily tasks and ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Main Responsibilities
* Post and process journal entries to ensure proper recording of all business transactions
* Prepare payments and reconcile accounting records (bank’s balances & cash, expenses)
* Post and assist with the processing of accounts payable
* Review and reconciliation of MGA accounts
* Review and processing of Disbursement accounts
* Perform reconciliations of vendors’/customers’ accounts
* Comply with daily / month end closing requirements and deadlines
* Support Audit and Tax queries

The ideal candidates should cover the following requirements
* BA/MS in Accounting/Finance or similar discipline
* 1-3 years of relevant experience in a Shipping Accounting Department
* Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and shipping accounting principles
* Knowledge of Benefit ERP will be considered a plus
* Knowledge of Tax/payroll matters and use of relevant software(s).
* Knowledge or qualification in IFRS/GREEK GAAP will be beneficial
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
* Computer literacy with Microsoft Office
* Communication and organizational skills
* Team spirit and high sense of responsibility
